Who we support

Finding the right support for each individual

Maridi Care supports adults aged 18 and over who require accommodation together with varying levels of support.

A stable base to build from

We recognise that people often arrive at supported living following a difficult period in their lives. Our role is to provide stability while helping each resident identify what they want to achieve next.

Areas of support

Referrals we consider

Mental health support

We can support adults experiencing mental health challenges who would benefit from a stable home environment, structured routines, emotional support and greater community engagement.

Our support focuses on wellbeing, confidence, recovery and maintaining independence.

Hospital discharge & step-down support

Leaving hospital can be a significant transition. Maridi Care can provide a safe step-down environment for people who no longer require hospital care but are not yet ready to return to fully independent living.

We work with hospital discharge teams, social workers and community services to help make the transition as safe and successful as possible.

Homelessness & housing instability

A stable home can be an important first step in rebuilding a person's life.

We support adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing secure accommodation alongside practical support to establish routines, access services and work towards longer-term independence.

Autism & neurodiverse needs

We can consider people with autism or other neurodiverse needs where their needs and associated risks can be safely supported within our shared living environment.

Suitability is determined through an individual assessment rather than diagnosis alone.

Substance misuse recovery

We can support individuals who are working towards recovery from substance misuse and would benefit from stable accommodation, encouragement, structured routines and access to specialist community services.

Maridi Care does not provide clinical substance misuse treatment directly.

Complex support needs

Some individuals may require more intensive or coordinated support.

For these referrals, we review the person's assessments, support requirements, risks and compatibility with the home before proposing an appropriate support package.

Enhanced support or dedicated one-to-one staffing can be considered where required.

For families

Supporting someone you care about

Choosing supported accommodation for a family member can feel like a major decision. We want families and advocates to understand what Maridi Care provides and to have the opportunity to ask questions before a placement is agreed.

Where the resident wishes and appropriate consent is in place, we can work collaboratively with family members as part of the person’s wider support network.

What families can expect

  • A clear assessment before admission
  • Individual support planning
  • Regular reviews
  • A focus on dignity and independence
  • Open communication where appropriate
  • Collaboration with relevant professionals
  • A safe and respectful home environment

Our aim is to help residents become more confident and independent, while ensuring they receive the support appropriate to their needs.
